Our Process

Rigorous by design.
Transparent by default.

Every report discloses its criteria, evidence classes, and limitations. Every claim is sourced. Every conflict is named. Every correction is open.

Four steps, no shortcuts

01

Define criteria

Evaluation criteria are fixed and published before any vendor or entity is named. No retrofitting. No cherry-picking.

02

Collect evidence

Primary and secondary sources, structured against published criteria. Interviews, benchmarks, public filings, on-the-record data.

03

Independent review

Named reviewers evaluate methodology and evidence quality. Their names and affiliations appear on every report.

04

Publish with disclosure

Full methodology, limitations, evidence classes, and conflict disclosures ship with every report. Corrections are public.

What counts as evidence

Class A

Primary empirical

Benchmarks we run, datasets we curate, instruments we build. Reproducible by third parties.

Class B

On-the-record interviews

Named sources, recorded, with attribution. Conflicts and relationships disclosed.

Class C

Public filings & documents

SEC filings, regulatory submissions, official docs. Verifiable against the source.

Class D

Vendor-provided data

Used only when corroborated. Always labeled. Never the sole basis for a conclusion.

What we will not do

No pay-to-rank. Vendors cannot pay for placement, scores, or coverage. Ever.

No anonymous sources as sole basis for material claims. On-the-record or it doesn't ship.

No sponsored research. We do not accept vendor funding for reports or benchmarks.

No hidden limitations. Known gaps, caveats, and proof boundaries are stated up front.
